Basic Care & Life Support Training

The faculty of SJPUC have left an indelible mark in the lives of Josephites across the globe. The SJPUC Old Boys Association (OBA) decided to give back to their Almer Mater in a unique and profound manner like never before. They organized a Basic Care and Life Support Certification workshop to equip the faculty to deal with emergency situations that they may come across in and out of college.

The Health and Wellness Charter of the SJPUC OBA spearheaded this initiative led by Dr. Suman which include both teaching and non-teaching faculty of SJPUC. They were given hands on practice in facilitating CPR, how to use an AED, how to revive a person chocking, what to do in case of a snake bite and dealing with various other emergencies. The trained and experienced faculty gave LIVE demonstrations with mannequins and explained in detail the protocols to be followed to save lives in emergency situations.
The workshop was conducted on the college campus and was sponsored by members of the SJPUC OBA. After the training each of the trainees were given a unique scenario and had to respond to the emergency situation and was certified based on the response and action taken.
